Impatient, Perhaps?

I'm a curious person.

I like to be in control and have as much prior knowledge as possible.

So, I find this intriguing...

That's right, it claims to tell you the sex of your baby at 10 weeks instead of waiting for your big ultrasound around 20-25 weeks.

You just pee... and the hormones tell you boy or girl with an 82-90% accuracy rate. (so they claim)

So, I'm very skeptical.

But I'm very curious.

And I'm dying to baby shop already. (premature, I know)

It's only $35... but I'm broke.

Talk some sense into me, here... this is stupid, right? It probably just measures PH, which can change depending on your diet/fluids. Surely I can wait?

Or... be the devil on my shoulder if you must...

What do you think?

LOL!! You're a nut! I saw these kits and too and am a bit skeptical! Just think, if you wait you'll have that $35 to spend on a cute outfit! You'll know soon enough! Or shoot go for it, won't hurt anything! Do you have any feelings yet? Boy or girl?

I know your boy name... but do you have a girl name?

I'm with Kristin - you're a nut! Haha. I would be too skeptical. She's right - you'll want the money later for a cute outfit! Don't.do.it. :)

I say don't do it!

I didn't find out until my kids were born. I figured that you can't change it, there aren't many surprises in life, and it was just fun to hear Dr. Colvin say "It's a...."

Silly girls, didn't you know that I wanted you to talk me INTO it?! he he.

And I WILL be finding out the sex at 20 weeks for sure. Having a baby is exciting enough, I don't need the sex to be a surprise. In fact, I think I would hyperventilate from not knowing.

Kristin- easy for you to tell me to wait, you already know what you're having!

I say go for it! I totally would. As a matter of fact, if I do actually ever get pregnant again, I'm gonna be all over it!

I've been out of the loop, but sooo happy you're expecting!! What an answer to prayer! :) Congrats!

I totally know how hard it is to wait until 20 weeks...but I'm not sure that kit is worth the money.

I wanted to post here to be sure you got the message, I have done heparin twice along with baby aspirin, while we got the highest starting beta numbers, things plateaued after a few days... I think my bigger issues are from my natural killer cells. For now, our adoption plans are on hold thanks to my ever mind changing dh, and tomrrow I have a phone consultation with an RE who believes in immunology treatment, so here's hoping he can help me and I will get IV treatments every month on top of heparin and prednisone. Oh how I miss the days of casually talking about having kids...

Oh my! I literally jumped out of my seat when I finally got back to reality just now, checked your blog, and read the blessed knews!! So anyway, I say negativo to this crazy test! I'm just wondering how it would've predicted the sex of my 2 babies!?! I totally agree with everyone else. Your money can be spent on MUCH better things:)

I vote wait...you'll know for sure soon enough...although there are always surprises in the delivery room causing many items to be returned. haha...but I'm sure that won't happen.

I did it and it was a total joke! It didn't change color so I was thinking...girl but it was green so....boy? I emailed the company and they emailed me back that it was a girl and the next day they emailed me again and said it was a boy! haha I think it is a waste of money! I can't wait for the sonogram!

The ultrasound will be well worth the wait. And free...ok well insured:). Plus you don't want to buy too much clothing beforehand anyway because you never know how/when they'll grow. And, it is ALWAYS hard to not buy them things so think of it as a budgeting decision:).

As tempted as I would be, I say leave it for a few more weeks. Of course, what do I know? I'm one of those kooks who wants to be surprised when the baby's delivered - haha!

I left you an award over at my blog! :)

Hey I didn't find out with Kayson! He was a surprise... but I know what you mean. Just wait... you can do it!! Go buy a Longhorn outfit... it can be worn by boy or girl! :)

oh fine... you guys suck.

I only wanted to do it as a research experiment. It isn't like I was going to buy a complete pink nursery!

Chelsea - I wasn't sure that you would remember me from the old message board, but I saw your comment on my blog. I've been following your blog since then. You have been through a lot, and I admire your strength. I've been thinking of you regularly, and wishing much luck your way while TTC. I am beyond thrilled with the news of your pregnancy! I will be praying for you and Skip and your little one! Congratulations!
