Vancouver 2013

Sissy & Tai-Pan treated the 14 of us to our annual family vacation... to Canada!  We enjoyed the 6 crazy cousins, the cool weather, a rented home, Stanley Park, The Aquarium, Chinatown, Playland, Granville Island, salmon fishing, a float plane tour, Capilano Suspension Bridge, lots of fine wine, and a choatic 15 passenger van!

Family Portraits

As a photographer, I feel strongly about getting professional portraits done often.  You don't these moments back and cell phone photos just aren't the same.  I take a lot of photos of the girls... but they don't cooperate for me... we in the industry call this PCS.  Photographer's Child Syndrome.

Plus, if I take them I can't be in them... so we hire a professional at least once a year.  Lucky for me, I have a LOT of talented photographer friends!   This year we used my friend Abby of Abby Glenn Photography in Cedar Park.  I highly recommend her!

All photos are copyright Abby Glenn Photography 2013.

I duplicated a few of them, but whatever... at least I'm posting.

Spring 2013

Um.... remember me?

I'm the horrible, no-good blogger that hasn't been blogging.

"Ain't nobody got time for that!"

My new record keeping is mostly via instagram- go follow me there!  ChelseaLietz

And I DO keep up with my photography blog, I would LOVE some comments there!  www.newborn-pics.com

Hadley didn't get an 18 month post,  (poor second child) so here are some highlights... you eat EVERYTHING and lots of it-especially meat, you talk a lot and have a big vocabulary, you still love dirt, you have shown an interest in potty training already and can pee on the potty, you are still a Mama's girl, you say "Mama, I wanna hold you!" all day long so I will pick you up, you willingly hang your head and go to time-out when told to- sticking your nose directly onto the wall, you love books and your dancing baby

Here are some Spring photos of the girls...

Photographing your own children is for the birds...

Kherington's Royal 3rd Birthday Party

Our Princess had a ball!

3 Years

Kherington Grace, you are three years old!

Big Girl, at three:

You weigh 35 pounds and are ____ tall

You are smart as a whip, talkative, and creative

You love school and are so sweet to your friends

You cannot pronounce "L's"

You still say some adorable things like "nanks" (thanks), "ilk" (milk), "addie" (Hadley), "of you berry mush" (love you very much)

You are a great big sister, playing well with Hadley 90% of the time

You love swinging, running, jumping and playing outside

You spend all day everyday playing dress up

You are far too excited about makeup and jewelry

You walk like a pro in dangerous plastic princess high heels

You live 24/7 in princess dresses and crowns

You love pizza, cake, ice cream, chocolate, cereal, chicken nuggets, chips, pretzels, popcorn, pineapple, nuts, yogurt, and blueberries

You drink milk like it's going out of style

You adore Sissy, DeDe and Cousin Harper

You are sweet and tender-hearted and emotional

You are also three- cranky, stubborn, dramatic and again, emotional

You enjoy reading and singing

You can recite our dinner prayer by yourself and love to sing "Jesus Loves Me"

You like to play pretend... so long as it involves princesses and sometimes doctors and babies

You sleep with your monkey lovie, your care bear blanket and pillow, a dream light, and your sound machine

You insist on only wearing dresses

You fight wearing jackets and when I get pants or long sleeves on you you push them up out of your way

You like TV- Sofia the First, My Little Pony, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Doc McStuffins, She-Ra, and all princess movies

You make us laugh, you make us proud, you make us crazy, but we are crazy about you

You are the most beautiful princess we've ever seen!

Fifteen Months

Short Stack, you are fifteen months old today!

Sweet girl, at fifteen months:

You weigh 23 lb 5 oz and are 30.25 in tall (average)

You love to play with dirt and rocks

You demand to be nursed most of the day, cutting down to 2-3 times is proving difficult!

You adore your big sister and cousins and want to do everything they do

You are a Mama's girl and always want to be held

You are often caught splashing in the dog bowl and the toilets; no roll of toilet paper is safe near you

You have a special affection for "Aunt" D'Ann

You love to eat- especially meat, yogurt, popcorn, cheese, eggs and anything on our plate

You know 4-5 words and 2-3 signs

You communicate your desires very effectively through grunts, pointing, whining and nodding

You love your puppies, dancing, climbing, and pushing things

You always want to be outside- often bringing us your hat and jacket as a not-so-subtle hint

You deliver books and crawl on a lap all day long

You always have bumps and bruises from your rough and tumble lifestyle

You find trouble wherever you go

You love to get dirty!

And then you said "Mama!  Up! Up!"

Christmas 2012

Celebrating our Savior's birth just keeps getting better every year!  We spent Christmas Eve in Fredericksburg, Christmas night and morning at home, and the afternoon at Landon &  Kelly's new house.  So much love and so many toys!

If that's not Christmas magic, then I don't know what is!
